Manga Artists Wanted!

Do you love manga? How about drawing manga? Have you ever wanted to see your work in print? Well, now's your chance! This year, SNAFU-Con is announcing our very own manga compilation book and we're looking for artists to draw for us!

We're looking for 20 artists for this compilation. For a $25 donation to help defray printing costs, each artist will get 15 pages in which to tell their stories, a free copy of the book, their name and webpage credited in the con book, and a special "Donating Artist" badge for the convention.

Specifications

-All artwork must be b&w
-The final print size is 5.5" x 7.75" with a live area of 4.5" x 7." Please use this template (http://ka-blam.com/printing/templates/2010_manga_template.png) when formatting your work.
-The files must fit in the dimensions above and MUST be saved in 300 dpi grayscale in TIFF format and flattened (no extra layers or channels). Be sure they are saved using LZW compression.
-All artwork must be original. Any plagiarization will not be tolerated. Unfortunately, since we will be professionally printing these books, we also cannot accept any fanart or any work that infringes on any established copyright or trademarked characters.
-Stories cannot contain any explicit nudity or sexual situations. Hinting and fades to black are fine, but this book will be available to all ages and the comics must reflect that.

Work better in color? We also need a cover for our book! We would like all cover submissions to be 5.5" x 7.75" and saved in 300 dpi RGB in TIFF format. We would prefer if the cover reflected this year's theme of "Cyberpunk," but will consider all submissions regardless of the theme.

Please email all submissions to
All submissions must be received before July 31st

Disclaimer

Because we're a fairly new convention and this is a brand-new project for us, we're testing the waters to see how popular the idea is. We won't decline submissions specifically on the basis of artistic merit, but if we receive files that are not in the correct dimensions or dpi, we will reject them.

By submitting your artwork, you agree to give SNAFU-Con limited rights to reproduce the work in print. Artists shall retain ownership of their copyrights and all other rights with respect to the artwork, including the right to submit the work to other publications. SNAFU-Con reserves the right to reprint this manga compilation if so desired.
